VOLUNTEER

We welcome and value all our volunteers at Williams and are excited to have you join us. There are a variety of opportunities including Board positions, Classroom volunteers, Event volunteers and more. We hope you find the right fit for you. Thank you for your consideration!

VOLUNTEER DURING SCHOOL HOURS

San Jose Unified School District requires all volunteers helping during school hours to be TB tested and fingerprinted. Volunteering for field trips, class parties, assemblies, lunch time clubs (Garden, Art and Funvisors), any and all during school hour activities require clearance from the district. Please note, below information is provided for reference only. Volunteer requirements are subject to change. Please visit the SJUSD District Volunteer page for accurate and up-to-date information.

New Volunteers

If this is your first time volunteering for San José Unified:

  1. Review our Volunteer Policies

  2. Complete the online application

  3. Send required documents to volunteer@sjusd.org

  4. Get fingerprinted with San José Unified

All volunteers must have the following:

  • Proof of COVID vaccination

  • TB clearance

  • Fingerprint/background check clearance

Returning Volunteers

All volunteers must complete this process each year:

  1. Complete the online application.

  2. Send required documents to volunteer@sjusd.org

The Williams Community thrives on the volunteer efforts of the many parents and family members who dedicate their time and effort toward making the school environment a better one for all of our students.

WINS MEET & GREET

Have you ever wondered how to get involved with Williams WINS? What is WINS? And why do they ask for my money every year? Please come to the WINS Meet & Greet, where our current Board members will be on hand to share with you their experience on the Board and answer any questions about getting involved with WINS.

 

Refreshments will be served and the Book Fair will be open from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., so join us!
