Last year, we had the incredible privilege of celebrating 19 different cultures at our Heritage Day, and this year we’re excited to come together again! It was a joyful day where we honored the diverse backgrounds, traditions, and experiences that make Williams Elementary such a special place. We look forward to deepening our appreciation for the many wonderful cultures that make up our school.

This year’s theme is “Let’s Play Together”—a celebration of cultural games from around the world! There’s no better way to connect than through play, and we can’t wait to experience the games and traditions that bring our community closer.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

This event is all about fostering understanding and connection. We invite everyone to participate by contributing a Cultural Booth and/or a Cultural Performance. You can sharing your family’s traditions, food, music, performances, art, cultural items, or anything else that is meaningful to you. Let’s build a stronger, vibrant community as we honor what makes us unique. We can’t wait to see what you’ll share this year!

WORLD TOUR SAMPLER TICKETS

Heritage Day is completely free to attend – no tickets needed! Dive into a world of activities at each booth, offering fun for everyone in the family.

Craving a taste of cultural cuisine? Sampler Tickets are available for purchase, offering you a delicious culinary adventure throughout the event. Each Sampler includes 10 tickets, which can be redeemed for a variety of mouthwatering food samples at the booths, with each sample costing just 1 ticket.

Purchase yours today for our exclusive early bird price of $15 until Sunday, 4/13. Remember, tickets are valid only at the Heritage Day booths, not the food trucks. *All sales are FINAL, with no returns or refunds for unused tickets. Thank you for understanding!

  • What is the WINS Parents Night Out Happy Hour?
    The WINS Parents Night Out Happy Hour & Silent Auction is a fun-filled happy hour for our Williams community to gather and raise funds for Williams Elementary. This year’s event will be on Saturday, May 10th at Almaden Golf & Country Club from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Is this an adults-only event?
    Yes, this happy hour is adults-only, so dial up your babysitter and get ready for a night of great company, laughter and beautiful views of the golf course!
  • Can I select whom I sit with?
    This will be a casual happy hour with open tables available for everyone to mingle with one another!
  • What’s included in my admission ticket?
    Hors D'oeuvres, Silent Auction, Hot & Cold Beverages along with great company and incredible golf course views are included in your ticket! There will be a non-hosted bar available for cocktails, beer, and wine.
  • How can I purchase a ticket for a teacher or staff member?
    If your classroom would like to purchase a ticket for a teacher or staff member, you can definitely do so!
  • What are some items that will be available for Auction?
    There will be a few goods and services from local businesses along with priceless items such as on-campus parking spots and the infamous Bret Harte tour that will be available for bidding during the Silent Auction.
  • Can I still donate something to the Auction?
    Yes! If you know or own a local business that would be willing to donate a good or service to the Auction, please contact us at auction.williams@gmail.com.
  • Is there a dress code?
    Almaden Country Club does not allow ripped jeans. For men, collared shirts are preferred. It will be a beautiful evening outdoors, in a beautiful setting, with food, drinks, and lots of laughter with families whom you meet at school every day.
