GARDEN CLUB

Did you know your children have the opportunity to visit the garden once a month during their lunch period? They are able to enjoy foods grown in our garden, learn about natural habits and participate in fun garden activities. A school garden is a wonderful environmental education tool. Through gardening, students become responsible caretakers and can establish a connection with nature at an early age. Here at Williams, we are fortunate to have a school garden run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our students love going to the garden!
WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:
Garden Club: Volunteer during lunch time in the garden.
Garden Class Parent: Volunteer during class hours to bring your class to enjoy a lesson of your choice in the garden (arts, crafts, tastings, etc). Lesson plans and suggestions are provided, or you can choose your own activity/lesson.
If you are interested in running or participating in the Garden Club, please fill out the form below and come to our training.
Please note, all Garden Club volunteers need to have SJUSD volunteer clearance prior to volunteering. For information, please see SJUSD Volunteer Policies.
