SCHOOL SUPPLIES 

 

Participation in the EduKit program is completely optional. If you prefer to shop on your own, class supply lists are available on this site.

 

It's also important to know that school supply donations are never required. SJUSD provides the materials students need to fully participate in class. However, teachers often recommend additional supplies that help enrich the classroom experience and support student learning throughout the year.

​

Any contribution, whether through an EduKit or individual supplies, is greatly appreciated and directly benefits our students and classrooms at Williams.

Volunteer On-Campus

We are excited to have you as a volunteer in the classrooms and on-campus for all our fun events this year. Please remember you must register as a SJUSD volunteer PRIOR to helping on-campus for things like Project Cornerstone, chaperoning field trips, helping in the classroom, copying, hearing/vision screening, and more. We look forward to seeing you on campus.

  • New Volunteers - TB testing and fingerprinting required. Refer to the link below for the process to register as a volunteer.

  • Returning Volunteers - Complete the process. Check with the school office about what the current process is for on-campus volunteering.

UNIFORM & DRESS CODE

 

Where can we purchase uniforms?

Uniforms must meet the uniform policy requirements, but can be purchased anywhere that sells uniforms (e.g., Target, Children's Place, Amazon). The "Williams Plaid" items can be purchased through Merry Mart or Lands' End (school code #900089020). Williams-branded outerwear and Class Spirit Shirts can also be purchased at our Spirit Shop at the start of the school year.​

What shoes can my child wear?

Students are required to wear tennis shoes that are 95% black, white, gray, or navy blue. Sandals, Mary Janes, character shoes, light-up shoes, and shoes with wheels are not permitted. Avoid colored laces as well. For students who do not know how to tie their own shoes yet, our teachers greatly appreciate that you purchase velcro or no-tie shoes for your student.

At the start of each school year, WINS offers families the opportunity to purchase class-specific spirit shirts and branded outwear. Class spirit shirts can be worn on Fridays, in lieu of uniform tops and Williams outerwear can be worn year-round. For more information about our Spirit Wear program, please visit our Spirit Shop.
